These are my current favorite hair accessories. They are so simple and easy to make and look darling.

We made patterns out of cardboard in each of the following sizes for the different layers of the flower.

Cut 6 circles out of the satin fabric. One in each size. They do not have to be perfect. You will be burning the edges.
Burn around each circle with a lighter.

Use a brad to hold the circles together and make the flower. Attach an alligator clip to the back of the flower.

We love these pearl brads that we found at the scrapbook store.
*To make these for a baby, I just did the first 4 layers for a smaller flower.{Alish}

These are so cute! I may just have to make them for my niece, since I have a lil' man. :)
ReplyDeleteI love these! I tried making them and my edges went brown how would I fix that?
ReplyDeleteI love this flower, so easy to make, and so lovely! I cannot wait to try your ribbon board; I need a super cute board for 6 year-old daughter's room and I think it would be precious!

ReplyDeleteThese are super cute!
ReplyDeleteQuestion - to put the brad in the center do you need to punch a hole in the middle of the circles??
So darling! I've seen these on a few babies and wanted to know how to make them. Thank you so much for this post!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely flower! My niece would love something similar to that flower. She loves hair accessories so much. Great tutorial - so nice and easy to follow! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteHI! Just made some of these. How big is the actual flower? I used a protractor and set it to the 3" mark, but it was making it 6". Is that right? Or do I need to cut the protractor in half to make the flower 3.5" in total size? Thanks!!!
