Construction Birthday BBQ

To celebrate my son's 2nd birthday we had a small BBQ with friends. I wanted to keep it simple with my due date getting so close. Here are a few ideas that I used for his construction themed party.

Here are the invitations:

I made a dirt cake and put it in the back of a toy truck.
I used THIS recipe but changed the heath bars to Oreo cookies and added in gummy worms too.

On the food table there were little signs that said "Dig In."

The kids dug for prizes in a pool filled with sawdust.
