Tithing Jars/ Piggy Banks

I wanted to make my kids some small and inexpensive tithing jars.
Here are the the results.
These could also be used for:
piggy banks
small collections
reward system

Here are the cans looked like before I began. The wrappers had been removed.
I took small cans that were previously used for nuts.
I washed them out. Then mod podged on scrapbook paper. I mod podged on a large circle of card stock to the top of the lid and cut a slit with an exacto knife large enough to fit coins. I add ribbon for a final touch. They are small, match their rooms and are working great so far.

  1. That's for this great idea! I was just wondering about where to have my daughter put her tithing money this last Sunday. She has a piggy bank, but we need somewhere for her tithing. So, Thanks!
