Oh...I just love these cookies!!!
ReplyDeleteThese are just some of my all time fav's - I just can't make them very often or I eat them all!
ReplyDeleteThat much shortening? And they don't taste like shortening? They look great & I really want to try them - I just can't get that shortening out of my mind. LOL Someone convince me!!!
ReplyDeletePedey...they are AMAZING! They really do taste more like chocolate cookies than shortening. If you're really weird about it...you can use butter flavored shortening, but I think that doesn't taste so great. I use all vegetable shortening and don't notice any hint of it, but I guess if you were to use regular shortening it'd be stronger and not so much delicious. If you're feeling particularly lazy...canned frosting with an added cap full of extract fills them beautifully. I use a small cookie scoop, so no rolling either! They come out perfect every time.
ReplyDeleteLove it! I used this for an Activity Days activity and the girls just thought they were the best ever! Great recipe for kids to help with.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the great recipe. I have had them before but these were really good. I made them with my church young girls for an activity. They REALLY like them as you can imagine. Easy and yummy! Thanks!
