How to Make Beaded Watch Bands

My mom, sisters and I absolutely love our Bumble watches. We got together and made tons of bands to add to our collections. Here is how to make them and some of our designs. We found a little watch face and even made a couple of bands for my daughter. There are many different brands of these same kind of watches. Here is a website to our favorite brand if you to check out more.

What you need:

Lots of beads
Stretchy cording
Large lobster claw clasps
Spacers
Sissors
SuperGlue
Small Paint brush (optional)

The cording we used.

Our favorite spacers.

Step #1

String on a few small beads and two clasps as shown and attach to watch face.

Step #2
Start stringing more beads on to your liking adding spacers along the way.
You will use two spacers when making each band. Put one on about 1/3 of the way and the other about 2/3 of the way.

Step #3
Keep adding beads until you like the look and have the correct length.
Then add clasps and small beads like on the opposite side all to one side of the cording as shown.

Step #4
Tie coring together in a square knot.
Right over left, left over right. Check to make use it is secure.

Step #5
Use a small paint brush to apply super glue to help keep it all together.

All Finished!

Some of our bands.

All we made. It was so fun!

Also at Michael's there is a package of ancient beads that has over a hundred spacers. There are three types and the large flowers would definitely work as a spacer if you lined up 4 or 5 of them.

  55. Love your bands. Just became a fan of your blog. I made some watch bands with my daughter-in-law when I went to visit them in AZ. She has all the bead stuff and showed me what to do and we made a few. My problem is they have been breaking. I don't know what we are doing wrong. She is fairly new at this also, as she just learned to make them last year before moving to Az from Idaho. She uses .8 stretch string. I came home and used the 1 mm I got at Michaels, same brand as you recommended and it seems like it will work better, but won't go through all the beads. So any help would be appreciated. I love them so much and I know I am being careful putting them on and off. If I make one for a gift I want to make sure it doesn't break the first time they wear it! One was a gift for my daughter and I would like to get it re-strung. Thank you so much, and thank you for all the ideas you put on your blog. Dawn Frank (mommadawn26@hotmail.com)

The birth control movement received an unexpected boost during World War I, as a result of a crisis the U.S. military experienced when many of its soldiers were diagnosed with syphilis or gonorrhea. The military undertook an extensive education campaign, focusing on abstinence, but also offering some contraceptive guidance.[74] The military, under pressure from purity advocates, did not distribute condoms, or even endorse their use, making the U.S. the only military force in World War I that did not supply condoms to its troops. When U.S. soldiers were in Europe, they found rubber condoms readily available, and when they returned to America, they continued to use condoms as their preferred method of birth control.copycat recipesLos Angeles Detox Center
